About the event
Jack Mackay's highly acclaimed eerie debut, "Gloam," was published by Rock the Boat.
Last year, it was chosen as the Times Children's Book of the Week and has been nominated for various awards, winning several and Jack is now on tour with his new book.
Jack (only recently!) went to York University and has now relocated back to the city so is
relatively local. His next novel The Haunting of Old Splinter is another stand-alone
spooky offering, aimed at readers Y5 and above, publishing in September.
With Halloween on the way soon, this age group will love it and Jack is clever at being scary
